  • 107 Classroom Management and Behavior Interventions- Session 1

Behaviors are inevitable so learning all the tools to redirect students behavior and prevention is crucial. Some takeaways I really like were the individual student behavior tracking logs. While my school uses PBIS and has that form of documentation I think it would be very beneficial to keep my students accountable before they get to that serious infringement. Overall observation is key and teaching when to self regulate and giving the students that power to make the call if they need a moment. All those opportunities factor into student relationships built on respect and accountability. Its always good to stay aware and observant about kids behavior and predict when a possible derail of a lesson can occur ie seating, holidays, long breaks etc. Brain breaks are crucial both for teachers and students to give everyone an opportunity to reset!
