  • 105 Tech/Data Analysis Session #3

I learned that apps can be really helpful for intervention, assessments, and tracking data because they make it easier to collect and analyze both academic and behavioral progress. Tools like screeners and assessment apps help identify where students are at, while progress monitoring and data tracking show how they are improving over time. For example, FastBridge uses technology to support phonics, track progress, and gradually increase difficulty as students improve. I also learned that Reading Progress allows teachers to create classes and assignments, view student work, and review insights, which makes it easier to track reading growth and adjust instruction based on student needs.

I can use these apps while subbing by helping support the teacher’s plans and keeping track of student progress. If the class is already using programs like FastBridge or Reading Progress, I can help students stay on task, monitor their work, and leave notes for the teacher about how they did. I can also use the data or insights provided to better understand student needs and give extra support where it’s needed.
