I like the idea of making things visual. As a gymnastics coach, sometimes the absolute best thing you can do while coaching a kid is to show them what it is supposed to look like and walk them through the smaller details by showing it. I think also having a clear objective written up so everyone knows what they are working towards helps a lot. I know that’s how I get done with most of my tasks I need to complete. I also think that having the ability to read the room always to see if what is being taught and how it is being taught is effective or if you are losing kids, as well as making an effort on your part to making sure that even if it looks like it went well ensuring that what was taught actually came across like you want. Doing stuff like exit tickets or asking the kids questions about what they just learned and also making it known that it is okay to have questions. Also making it known that you are a resource if they have questions or need help with anything they can come to you.
