After watching the videos, I learned a lot about classroom management, instruction, and assessment. One thing that stood out to me from the management lesson was the importance of reflecting on your teaching, giving yourself grace, and understanding that it takes time to find your groove as an an educator. I also liked the idea of focusing on giving students what they need to be successful. In the instructional videos, I learned how important it is to model lessons clearly, set expectations, and make sure students understand what is being taught. It also reminded me that teachers should read the room and adjust if students seem confused. The assessment video also showed that teachers shouldn’t wait until the end of a lesson to check for understanding, but instead assess students regularly to see if they are on track.

Some strategies that stood out to me were:

    • Using visual aids, timers, schedules, and organized materials.
    • Modeling lessons and giving clear examples.
    • Making lessons engaging and providing extra support when needed.
    • Checking student understanding regularly.
